The Region of Waterloo has opened an emergency shelter at 104 Stirling Avenue South, in the former Edith MacIntosh Child Care Centre. This site will house 60 individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The site provides emergency overnight shelter, from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m., seven days a week.
