On Tuesday October 3rd 2017, students at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute will participate in a M.A.A.D (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) School Assembly.  This assembly “is an on-screen fictional re-enactment of the trauma that can result when someone makes the choice to take drugs or alcohol and get behind the wheel. The presentation also includes interviews with people who have been injured and/or lost a loved one(s) as a result of impaired driving.” (http://madd.ca)

If you feel, for personal reasons, that the content in this presentation will be too difficult and/or traumatic for you, there will be an alternative available.  Students opting out of the M.A.A.D presentation will be welcomed into the library for the duration of the assembly. Attendance will be taken, both in the classroom before the assembly, and in the library.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak with your guidance counsellor or see http://madd.ca/pages/programs/youth-services/school-programs/f-a-q/ for more details.
