We are excited to share some important start-up details with our students and families.
Student Timetables
Students will receive their timetables in their first period class.
It is our intention to send students their first period class information via their WRDSB Gmail account on September 1st. A list of students’ first period classes will also be posted on the 2nd floor in alphabetical order.
*New* This Year – Week 1 & Week 2, Semester Schedule
All WRDSB secondary schools will be following a ‘Week 1’ and ‘Week 2’ alternating schedule this year, afternoon classes only will flip. On ‘Week 1’ the schedule will be A, B, Lunch, C, D and on ‘Week 2’ will be A, B, Lunch, D, C.
Grade 9 Chromebook Distribution
Grade 9 students who didn’t receive their Chromebook on the August 31st orientation day will get their Chromebook in the cafeteria on the first day of school.
Lockers
Students who would like a locker should bring a combination lock to school with them. Keyed locks are not permitted. Locks are available to purchase in the Main Office for $10. Students are not permitted to share lockers. A locker program will be made available on the first day of school.
Student Forms & Paperwork – Due by the end of the first week of school!
Students will receive an Emergency Contact Form on their first day of school to bring home.
Please look closely at the form, make changes on it in writing if necessary, and sign it on the appropriate spot. It is very important for the school to have current information. All forms must be signed and returned to the first period teacher or the Main Office by the end of the first week, even if there are no changes. Medical Plan of Care forms (if applicable) will also be sent home with students.
A School-Day message will be sent on September 6 with links to additional online forms that must be filled out by all families.
Picture Day
This year’s picture day will take place on Friday, September 15. Details for photo package orders will be distributed to families as the date approaches. All students are required to have their picture taken for their school records even if not purchasing photos.
